FTC Fortnite Refunds: How to Claim Your Share of $72 Million

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is sending payments to Fortnite players who were charged for unwanted in-game purchases, totaling over $72 million. If you filed a claim by October 8, 2024, you may be eligible for a refund. Here’s everything you need to know about applying for and receiving your FTC Fortnite refund.

What Happened with Fortnite and the FTC?

Epic Games, the company behind Fortnite, settled FTC charges for unauthorized in-game purchases. The FTC claimed that Epic Games charged players for unwanted purchases, allowed children to make unauthorized charges without parental consent, and even locked some accounts when users disputed incorrect charges. As part of the settlement, Epic Games agreed to make refunds to affected players.
